Taoyuan, Taiwan (R.O.C.), (03-03-2008) - Regarding the announcement of Nanya Technology and Micron Technology on the signing of a memorandum of understanding, Inotera Memories, Inc. wishes to make the following clarification:
- Since its incorporation in 2003, Inotera has achieved five consecutive years of profitable operation and was the only Taiwanese DRAM company that posted a net profit last year despite severe market conditions. The Company positions itself as a memory foundry to service customers through very competitive low-cost production and fast technology-ramp along with continuously improving production cycle times and highest product quality. Inotera will stick to this commitment to customers going forward.
- Since incorporation, Inotera has succeeded in the transfer of various technologies including 110nm, 90nm, 80nm, 70/75nm from Qimonda AG and Nanya Technology. It has also signed a transfer agreement for 58nm process technology to further secure a cost-competitive production.
- The board of directors and the management team of Inotera will always act in the best interest of all the shareholders and employees in deciding the Company's future. The Company will continue to strive to service its customers by adopting the most competitive and beneficial process and product technologies.
