Dr. David Liu joined Inotera in 2003 and is currently the Senior Vice President of Technology Transfer and Solution Group. He leads the development and deployment of engineering IT solutions, and coordinates the overall strategic planning of technology transfer projects and pilot line related affairs.
Prior to joining Inotera, David served as the Manufacturing Vice President of Wafertech, TSMC's North American site in Washington State and was responsible for logic technology transfer, yield and volume ramp-up and logic foundry FAB operations.
With about 30-year experience in semiconductor industry, David held a number of key roles in semiconductor production and development; including the VP Operations at Quanta Display, and a member of ERSO's Submicron Process Development Project for the first 8-inch wafer pilot line in Taiwan, then as Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation's FAB Director for the DRAM mass production at two 8-inch wafer production lines.
Prior to 1992, David's career was based in the United States. He worked on semiconductor material and device research in the Solid State Electronics Laboratory at Stanford University for over ten years. He has three US patents and over 30 technical publications.
David holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of California at Berkeley, a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford and a B.S. in Chemistry from National Taiwan University.
