Incorporated on January 23rd, 2003, Inotera Memories, Inc. is a joint venture between Nanya Technology Corporation (an affiliate of the Formosa Plastics Group) and Micron Technology, Inc..
Inotera provides DRAM foundry services based on 30nm process technology with a maximum planned capacity of approximately 120 thousand wafer starts per month. All production output is supplied to Micron Technology. Inotera is designed to focus on operational excellence in mass production to manufacture DRAM memory products with high quality using state-of-the-art technology and to leverage its economies of scale in order to maximize its cost efficiency.
Inotera has launched 20nm ramp and will convert approximately 80% of its total wafer-start capacity to 20nm process technology by the end of year 2015. In addition, the company is continuing to optimize its manufacturing efficiency and provide diverse DRAM products to fulfill customers’ needs.
