Inotera Memories, Inc. was incorporated on January 23rd, 2003. Inotera was founded as a joint venture by Qimonda AG (Qimonda; formerly the memory products division of Infineon Technologies AG) and Nanya Technology Corporation.
Inotera currently has two 300mm fabrication facilities with combined capacity of 120 thousand wafer starts per month. The Company‘s capacities are in full (100%) operation to provide commodity DRAM memory foundry services on 300mm silicon wafers. Inotera is committed to providing its operational excellence in mass production to manufacture DRAM memory products with high quality and state-of-the-art technology and leverage its economies of scale to maximize its cost efficiency.
Inotera has started mass production of 1Gb DDR2 DRAM and 1Gb DDR3 DRAM products upon its Shipment Qualifications by using 75/70nm process technology in March and June 2008, respectively. In addition, the Company has reached full conversion into 75/70nm shrink technology in the end of June 2008 to further improve productivity and therefore lowering the manufacturing cost.
