Ron Chu joined Inotera in 2008; his major responsibility is converting fab manufacturing from Trench to Micron Stack technology.

Prior to joining Inotera, Ron served as the Assistant VP of NTC and was managing fab1, fab2 and Micron JV fab - MeiYa Technology Corp. Ron joined NTC in 1997, assigned to MeiYa in early 2008, and then transferred to IMI in December, 2008.

Ron started his semiconductor career with Texas Instrument in 1980, his expertise was in Lithography and Etch processes. In 1985, he participated a DRAM startup company, Quasel, in Taiwan, but the company was closed because the downturn of DRAM business in 1986. He then joined AMD as a researcher of Litho and Etch R&D. Because Ron believed future of Semiconductor business would be in Far East, He took offer from ASML to work in Asia/Taiwan in 1991 and obtained the opportunity to work for Chartered Semiconductor in Singapore for Foundry Manufacturing in 1993.

Ron holds a Master Degree in Solid State Physics from Texas Tech University. Ron holds 6 US patents and many technical publications. Ron has 28-year experience in Semiconductor manufacturing, including 11 years with NTC, he will continue making great contribution to Inotera.
