輕型手持武器輔助系統
根據『新台灣新聞週刊第411、413期』報導，美國陸軍為了配合未來數位戰士的計畫，十餘年前就已經開始發展新式步兵武器的新概念。其實，面對廿一世紀的數位戰場，世界各國也不落人後，紛採類似美國陸軍「陸上戰士」(Land Warrior)計畫的數位步兵計畫，如英國的未來整合士兵科技計畫(FIST：Future Integrated Soldier Technology)、加拿大的士兵著裝計畫(CTS：Cloth The Soldier)、瑞典的未來步兵計畫(Future Infantry)、法國的ECAD戰鬥模組（Equipment du Combattant Debarque）和FELIN戰鬥步槍整合系統計畫(Fantassin a Equipments et Liaisons Integres)、南非的非洲戰士計畫(African Warrior)、澳洲的CSC陸地一二五士兵戰鬥系統計畫(Land 125 Soldier Combat System/Wundurra)、荷蘭的SMP士兵現代化計畫、以色列的未來步兵武器計畫(Future Infantry Weapon)以及德國的未來步兵系統計畫（German System Infanterist die Zukunft）等。
這些早從一九八○年代、最晚不過一九九○年代中期開始發展的未來數位戰士計畫，各國整合了不同等級的最新數位作戰概念，各有堅持與優缺點，但是各先進國家唯一不變的原則，就是將未來的士兵視為一個武器系統，也就是說，未來高科技數位戰場上面的士兵，每一個人藉由身上的各式裝備和手中的整合模組化戰鬥武器，已成為一個售價不會比一架戰機還要低很多的數位作戰系統，每一位士兵的個人素質、科技素養和即時受命作戰的能力，都需要有很專業且長期的訓練，傳統的強制徵兵制，已不適合這種作戰狀況，歐美各國汲汲營營發展這種數位士兵作戰戰術，就是強烈想要跳脫出傳統第二波戰場消耗性徵兵的窠臼，以高科技來打擊依賴勞力密集作戰戰術較落後的國家；2003伊拉克戰事的結果，則證明這個想法完全正確。
更進一步來看，部隊的基本組成元素即為單兵，是故，單兵武器裝備之精良度對部隊作戰的能力影響甚巨；美國Corner Shot Holdings LLC公司開發之單兵手持武器加裝影像即時系統設備(具夜視、影像放大、可見雷射/紅外線標定等能力)，使人員可於掩體後方進行搜敵、瞄準與射擊，可達有效殲敵與精確火力壓制的目的，且減少人員暴露於敵火的危險性，能大幅降低人員傷亡率。目前此系統裝置在9厘米(0.4/0.45英吋)口徑之手槍使用，有效精確射程可達一百公尺，裝設在5.7厘米口徑之手槍射擊時，有效精確射程更可達二百公尺，目前可適用的槍支種類亦相當廣泛，如奧地利克拉克(Glock)系列、德國席格(SIG sauer)系列、義大利貝瑞塔(Beretta)系列，其他如衝鋒槍、四○榴、自動步槍的搭用型亦相繼開發，未來應用範圍勢必更廣。該系統開發之理念原以警察治安單位進行反恐任務所需為基礎，然現代戰爭中城市作戰扮演著舉足輕重的角色，未來將可擴大至軍事單位使用，此系統需要大量的記憶體供以存取大量高畫質圖像數位資料、測距資訊、熱感應訊息以及戰場分析資料等，越高容量之記憶體應用可加速系統整體運作，這意味著影像畫質與精確度效能之大幅提昇，裝備效果更形卓著；以下我們忠於原味擷取重點原文呈現該公司應用實績。

Corner Shot™ a weapon system that provides the ability to observe and engage a target from behind a corner, was officially unveiled today in Israel. Corner Shot enables security forces to completely protect themselves from the line of fire when shooting a target. The system was invented by Amos Golan and developed together with Asaf Nadel, both senior former combat and special units officers.
Corner Shot is a highly technological system that attaches to most handguns currently used by Special Forces, for example the GLOCK, SIG SAUER, CZ, BERETTA or any other handgun. It includes a small, high-resolution camera and monitor, which can observe and view a target from various vantage points. The detachable video camera enables forces to scan an area prior to pinpointing a target and broadcast the footage directly, in real time, to the operating team behind, or to a monitor at Command Post in the rear.
Corner Shot can be accurately deployed from behind any cover since the operator can view and aim via the LCD monitor which is fixed on the back of the Corner Shot.
Amos Golan, one of Corner Shot™ founders and a former Anti-Terror Unit Commander, said: I believe that the Corner Shot weapon system can be extremely beneficial in the global war on terror. It protects soldiers’ lives and increases their chances of survival, while drastically improving their ability to gather information and transmit the combat scenario as well as pinpoint and engage targets out of their line of sight He added: today’s combat situations, especially in low intensity conflicts, involve fighting in urban terrain, and inside inhabited buildings, forced entry into airplanes, buses or trains. This unnecessarily exposes security forces to the enemy and presents an immediate risk to their lives. Corner Shot removes the need for this initial exposure.
Asaf Nadel, one of Corner Shot™ founders and a former commander in the Armored Corps and Secret Service, said: The Corner Shot system is designed in a way that enables security forces to engage targets from the left, and right, from the front, up or down, and to move to each of these shooting positions very rapidly without the removal of hands from the weapon. This shortens reaction time and increases accuracy in sudden engagement situations. The weapon system can be triggered completely from behind cover.
Corner Shot contains various accessories: a variety of detachable cameras (Zoom, Day-night, & Thermal), Audio/Video transmission kit, Visible and IR lasers, Tactical flashlight and more. The Corner Shot may be employed to search spaces or engage targets “in the next room” or “down the street”, with a high degree of accuracy, from “around the corner” or from a shelter, without exposing the user. It may be used in securing such openings as doors, windows and hatches with maximum effectiveness and minimum risk.
CORNER SHOT 40™ - “AROUND THE CORNER” 40mm PERSONAL GRENADE LAUNCHER
The new Corner Shot 40™ is an “Around the Corner” 40mm Personal Grenade Launcher (PGL) based on the outstanding features and capabilities of the original Corner Shot ™ system. The new model offers the increased firepower extended range, and enhanced cover fire of a 40mm launcher. This system is also available to police and other law enforcement agencies in 37mm.
The Corner Shot 40™ personal grenade launcher system includes a small, high-resolution video camera and monitor, through which the operator can view targets located “around the corner” in real time. The video camera enables the operator to scan the area “around the corner” or 'in the next building prior to pinpointing and engaging the targets therein. Alternately, the video image may be transmitted to other elements or up linked to a rear area command post or central command.
